Margaret Jacobsen Scheele is a partner at the firm, where she focuses her practice employment-related litigation, administrative matters, and counseling. Margaret has significant employment law experience in private practice, as well as six years of experience as an in-house employment attorney with MCI Communications Corporation.
Margaret’s extensive in-house experience provides her with the ability to work with executive decision-makers and in-house counsel and to understand the business needs and objectives of our clients.
“One benefit of having worked in-house is that I see the company perspective very well,” Margaret says. “I understand that companies don’t face abstract legal issues but deal with real business challenges. When I respond to a client, I try to understand where the question is coming from and to respond accordingly.”
Before joining the firm, Margaret practiced employment law in the Baltimore office of Miles & Stockbridge P.C., in-house at MCI Communications Corporation and in the Tysons Corner, Virginia office of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP.
